Notre vision est que chaque participant au CUC 2011, qu’il soit athlète, bénévole ou spectateur, nous quittera avec la sensation que le CCU était un des meilleurs oubien le meilleur tournoi d’ultimate qu’il a assisté.

19 Fields of Green

High quality ultimate deserves high quality fields and Ottawa is blessed to have its own 100+ acre facility with 19 ultimate-specific fields, 17 of which are irrigated.

While they are in excellent shape and professionally maintained every season, this year we've added a significant amount to the maintenance budget in order for it to be in pristine condition. Principal improvements include:
- Weed & grub treatment: there is not a speck of clover, dandelion or broadleaf to be found;
- overseeding;
- additional fertilizer treatments;
- clearing of brush and other debris to create additional space on the Disc Central areas and around the perimeter of the site.

Not only will the strong grass be better for hard play, it will also stand up better under wet conditions giving us a margin for rain not found at previous CUC tournaments.

The layout of the fields can be found here on our field information page. Each field will be lined and will be unmistakably marked by a tall pole with a yellow field number on top.

As a result of a lot of hard work, the fields will be a joy for players leading to an unrivalled viewing experience for spectators.

Hello and welcome from the CUC 2011 Organizing Committee in Ottawa.

August 11th is coming fast and we are planning hard to host Canada's best Ultimate teams. We have one goal in mind: that every participant at the 2011 Canadian Ultimate Championships, whether player, volunteer or spectator will leave the event feeling it was one of the best - if not the best - ultimate tournament they have attended.

We have a strong team of volunteers and are backed by a large and vast ultimate league here in Ottawa.

Tournament plans are well underway and our 19-field, irrigated facility will be in top condition, lined and ready to go.

With every aspect of the tournament we aim for the best so we are eager to hear your ideas, comments and suggestions - however big or small. Naturally, volunteers make everything happen so not only do we thank those who are already working with us, we would love to have you join us.
